In June 1956 the son of Enzo Ferrari died, Alfredo Ferrari nicknamed "Alfredino" soon abbreviated to "Dino". Ferrari honored his memory with the series of compact engines "Dino" from Corso V6 and with the roadsters that followed. This marvelous car was the first Ferrari central roadster; but it was not officially a Ferrari. It was marketed as a standalone brand, the magnificent Pininfarina bodywork, excellent road gripping and exceptional performance were unmistakable. It was in all respects a real magic of Maranello.
